Dear Innocent, UNICEF Bangladesh has developed a great one pager outlining the roadmap yet to come. Some other UNICEF Country Offices here in South Asia have started their process, please reach out if you want any further information.
Is there any country that has developed a roadmap for implementation of the HH4A initiative to share with us the experience?
Where am I?
In KnowledgePoint you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!
A number of countries are already embarking on this process, though few experiences have been documented so far. One example is in Bangladesh, where the government is launching a multisectoral hand hygiene for all roadmap. Plans include to develop standard generic messages on hand hygiene and implement social mobilisation interventions, install and sustainably manage hand hygiene stations in public settings and ensure quality hand hygiene for healthcare workers; provide functional facilities with soap and sufficient water; educate trainees at schools including effective WASH management; establish a national hygiene monitoring task force and national interministerial advisory board; developing a comprehensive plan of action on revised national hygiene strategy 2021; working with ministry of finance to improve separate budget line for water, sanitation and hygiene; increase the yearly WASH hygiene budget to 10% by 2030.
I have forwarded this question to a few key people in UNICEF who may be able to share more soon.
