We have recently done, an assessment on inclusion barriers in WASH, and the findings were very shocking. 75% of all female PWDs never used communal water points because of distance and design ( not accessible to PWDs)ย and non of all PWDs used communal hand washing stations fixed to latrines.to make it even worse PWDs are not targeted during hygiene promotion activities not even COVID times and donโt attend community sessions. We now need a new approach to definie what inclusion means for WASH intervention. ย
