September 20th: Webinar "Thirty years of the household slow sand filter"

Over the last thirty years, the household slow sand filter has undergone many changes to improve its performance. It’s been used by over 5 million people in 55 low- and middle- income countries to treat their drinking water. How have modifications to the design since the 1990’s made it easier to operate, and increased the likelihood of correct, consistent and continued use in homes?

In this live webinar, postdoctoral researcher @Bárbara Freitas will present a comprehensive overview of the earliest to most recent publications on the slow sand filter design. She’ll be joined by @robert wiens , an expert in the field of household water treatment, with over twenty years of experience with the biosand filter, from design and implementation to addressing factors that keep families using them.

Register to expand your knowledge of the various models currently available, gain insights on design evolutions from peer-reviewed literature, and learn lessons from decades of experience and innovation in the field.
