François Baillon IHIP 12 IHIP managing director
My current engagement in the humanitarian space, through my leading role in IHIP ( International Humanitarian Infrastructure Platform http://www.ihip.earth), supports my long term goal: promoting the role of the private sector to reach the Sustainable Development Goals through smart infrastructure, tracking down policy strategies to bridge public and private sector initiatives within the humanitarian/ development/ peace nexus.
From 2011 until end of 2016, I have been in charge of the development of online and offline commercial activities of FIDIC: production and sales of electronic publications through an e-commerce platform, e-learning environments and webinars, designing international conferences, partnership with the Multi-Lateral Development Banks and UN organizations in coordination with various government.
This position gave me a strong experience in promoting international association activities via multiple digital channels, events and publication. This covers the design, development and update of a multi purpose e-commerce website coordinated with social media strategy, e-marketing tools, webinars, web analytics and search engine optimization.
As an engineer and doctor in sustainable development, I coordinated the efforts of the sustainability committee, leading the publication of the civil engineering sustainability Pack and representing the industry at the board of several international organizations. I represented under this context the voice of the consulting engineers in several international conferences each year advocating for improved governance rules from a private sector perspective.
